How CRN Usage & Billing Works | Christian Revival Network
Christian Revival Network

Simple, transparent usage. No billing surprises.

Your CRN plan includes defined service allowances. We track each service separately, show you when you are approaching your included amount, and give you control over how additional usage is handled.

✓
Your plan comes first. Additional usage is only handled according to the billing preferences and authorization associated with your account.
How it works

Your plan, your usage, your control.

CRN separates plan allowances from additional usage so you can understand what is included and what happens if your ministry needs more.

1

Your plan includes usage

Your CRN subscription includes defined allowances for applicable services such as storage, viewing, AI, and translation.

2

We track services separately

Video, storage, AI, translation, and future services are measured independently rather than being combined into one confusing “token.”

3

You are notified before action is needed

Usage thresholds help you know when you are approaching your included amount or when your additional-usage balance is running low.

Measured fairly

Each service keeps its own measurement.

Different services have different underlying costs. CRN does not pretend a minute of video, a unit of storage, and an AI request are the same thing.

▶
Video Viewing Measured by viewing usage.
▣
Media Storage Measured by storage consumed over time.
✦
AI Services Measured using the applicable provider usage.
文
Translation Measured using the applicable translation service unit.
Why this matters: It allows CRN to keep pricing understandable and adjust one service when provider costs change without unnecessarily changing every other service.
Approaching your allowance

What happens when you use more?

The system checks your included allowance first. Additional usage is handled only after the included amount has been applied.

Step 1Use an included CRN service
Step 2Usage is measured
Step 3Your plan allowance is applied
Step 4You receive threshold notifications
Step 5Authorized additional usage can continue
CRN Usage Balance

A simple way to manage additional usage.

Instead of asking you to manage several technical meters, CRN can provide one monetary balance for authorized additional usage.

Your CRN Usage Balance is purchasing capacity — not a universal token.

The underlying service is still measured correctly in its own unit. The balance simply gives you an easier way to fund additional usage after your included plan allowance has been used.

Option A — Auto-Replenish

For ministries that want service to continue without repeated manual action.

  • You authorize an automatic replenishment preference.
  • You receive applicable usage/balance notifications.
  • When the defined threshold is reached, the authorized replenishment can occur.
  • Your service can continue without an unnecessary interruption.

Option B — Manual Replenishment

For ministries that prefer to approve additional usage themselves.

  • You receive notifications as usage approaches your limits.
  • You can add additional usage capacity when needed.
  • No uncontrolled negative balance is allowed.
  • Your account follows the defined service behavior if all available usage is exhausted.
Billing safeguards

Designed to protect your ministry and your account.

CRN separates usage measurement, billing calculation, and payment authorization so that no single step has unnecessary control over the entire transaction.

✓ Charge protection
A single billable event should create only one financial transaction.
✓ Authorization protection
Payments occur according to the authorization and billing preferences associated with your account.
✓ Account isolation
Your organization’s usage and billing records are kept separate from other CRN subscribers.
✓ Auditability
Usage and billing activity is recorded so transactions can be reviewed and supported.
✓ Secure payment boundary
The platform does not need to store payment credentials simply to measure service usage.
✓ No uncontrolled debt
CRN is designed to prevent usage from silently accumulating into an unlimited negative balance.
Frequently asked questions

Common questions

Does CRN combine all my usage into “tokens”?

No. Different services are measured separately because they have different costs and usage patterns.

Will I be charged before my included plan allowance is used?

Your applicable included plan allowance is applied before additional usage is calculated.

What is the CRN Usage Balance?

It is a monetary balance used to fund authorized additional usage. It is not a replacement for the actual measurement used by each service.

Can I choose whether additional usage is automatic?

CRN is designed to support both authorized auto-replenishment and notification/manual-replenishment approaches.

Can a repeated system event charge me twice?

The billing architecture is designed so the same billable event cannot create more than one financial transaction.

What happens if I use all included and prepaid usage?

The exact service behavior will be defined in your plan terms and account settings. CRN is being designed to notify you before this occurs and to avoid uncontrolled negative balances.

Plan-specific allowances and additional-usage rates: Final included amounts and rates will be published with the applicable CRN plan information once production cost validation is complete.
